Museum
First Graduate Studio: Q4, 2021
A maritime museum for Washington D.C. inspired by the work of Zaha Hadid. The form is meant to be evocative of an aquatic creature, with the interior utilizing the structural elements of the building to appear as a rib cage. The site is located on the banks of the Anacostia River, and the building responds to the site by framing the best views of a varied landscape and by incorporating large water features which at times blur the line between river and site.
